Most lights do not enable users to have direct control over the form and function of their light. Tactilight breaks this disconnect and encourages a relational experience between user and product. It is an interactive lamp built to mimic the transforming origami magic ball. Made of handmade paper or Tyvek and containing LEDs, small micro controller, and a bend sensor, this light allows the user to control various degrees of light exposure. As the user opens and closes the lamp, the sensor modulates the LEDs through brightening or dimming them. View its exciting development here!
